Approaching Storm 18"x13"
Clear Lake, Indiana, never disappoints. It's a beautiful lake and I am usually there to visit great friends. As the day was ending, a storm approached. The building thunderhead was in sharp contrast with the colorful setting sun and the tranquil water. Instead of paint, I used pieces of handpainted rice paper affixed to mount board. It is framed in a simple whitewashed wood frame, shadow-box style with a white background 3 inches larger than the artwork all around. 18" x 13" (25" x 21" framed, collage
